Dear Friends of Sex,
If you've just discovered me, I'll introduce myself: I'm an artist, author and PhD sexologist who has championed women's sexual liberation for the past 40 years.
In '68, I had the first erotic art exhibition in NYC, introduced the electric vibrator at NOW's Sexuality Conference in '73 and wrote the Feminist classic Liberating Masturbation (Sex for One) in '74.
Over the years, I've written articles, lectured, had interviews, ran workshops and appeared in documentaries. Also, I've produced six DVD's on female sexuality. My private practice continues to help women discover their bodies and sexual pleasure through my hands-on approach to Sex Coaching.
In 1998, my website bettydodson.com was launched. This was a ten year collaborative work of art with Grant Taylor as webmaster. He was my mentor and friend for 43 years. For those of you who miss the old site you can reminisce with me at www.waybackmachine.com.
This year, Carlin Ross and I have launched a new website dodsonandross.com. As a tribute to Grant Taylor (1923-2008), we will archive 10 years of content from the old site. Everything will be easy to access with our nifty search engine. For the very first time, 500 images of my art will be added to the gallery section.
There's more! We will produce several video series teaching sexual pleasure skills available exclusively on our site that can be downloaded. We both believe our breakthrough erotic sex-ed series will replace conventional formulaic porn. And if that's not enough, we'll also have a series of podcasts and webinars along with the latest sex in the news. We'll give you a new take on sexual politics from two orgasmic women who love sexual diversity.
Join us at dodsonandross.com for all things Betty Dodson and become a member of our online community. Carlin and I are separated by three decades. Yet we completely agree that women's sexual liberation, equal pay for equal work and equal representation as decision makers in government and corporations is long overdue. We hope to change that in the next 10 years.
